REPORTS TO:  Band Director

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  

The Cedar Springs High School Marching Band has an immediate opening for a Visual Instructor for the entirety of the 2026 marching band season.  Must be a current employee of EduStaff or willing to become an employee of EduStaff.

 

Employment will begin August 3, pending completion of Edustaff registration and all required paperwork.  

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attendance at all band functions
• Assist with show and visual design
• Instruction of fundamental playing skills, show music, marching fundamentals, and show drill
• Creating a positive, while challenging and competitive environment for students to achieve excellence
• Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in marching in high school, at the collegiate level, in winter activities, or DCI preferred
• Previous successful marching band instruction at the high school level
• Extensive knowledge of visual technique and instruction
• Ability to establish working relationships with co-workers and function as part of a cohesive team
• Able to have effective and positive communication with students, staff members, and directors
• Responsible, professional, embodies high ethical standards and integrity

Marching Instructors will attend rehearsals before competitions but will not attend the competition.
